Each of our cases are designed to protect against drops, with the Defender Series being the most rugged -- but no case, no matter how well-made, can completely guarantee against damage to a device.

Question
Speaker and earpiece protection..
Will there be the same fabric-like cover over the speaker and earpiece that are on the BlackBerry Defender cases? I have been using Defender cases on my BlackBerry 8350i for years and that simple little piece of fabric-like covering has saved me from having to replace my phone over and over again.

Now, with my Evo, I have already replaced it twice due to the speaker getting blown from particles getting in. In my opinion, it would be a mistake to not include that tiny, but crucial, extra aspect of protection.

We do recommend only using one screen protector at a time. Removing the screen protector will not damage the device.

No. From the Tech Specs: Case provides added protection against bump, shock, drop and dust intrusion. Case is NOT protective against water.

Question
What's the release date on the Defender Series? Also, how is the case supposed to protect the phone if there is no screen over the spkrs and earpiece?
How exactly does the case protect the assets of the phone if there is no protection over the flash, camera, speaker, or earpiece. You say the case protects against dust. Although, if the case does not cover these parts, i find it hard to believe that it does. Can you please help clarify my concerns.

We have eliminated the small filters found in our earlier designs due to them being redundant. Most smartphones entering the market now have similar material built into the device itself.

Our cases are precision-fit to the device. Any other products that change the dimensions of the device would not be compatible with our cases.

We do not have plans to accommodate extended life batteries in the future.

Question
Does the screen protector "oil slick"
Does the screen protector integrated into this defender case create the unwanted "oil slick" appearance (a portion of the protector getting stuck to the screen, thus looking like a puddle of oil) like some of the earlier iPhone defender cases?
