I don't have any problems using the Air Gesture with my case on my phone. It works the same as it would without the case and screen protector on it.

The Defender Series case should not inhibit or reduce the ability to use the Air View or Air Gesture n the Samsung Galaxy S4. Our engineers designed the Defender case with the full functionality of the device in mind.

Question
Can I use a film screen protector as well as the screen protector that comes with the case?
I've had a film protector put on my phone and I'm just wondering if I can put the case on and it still function 100% with the other film on the screen.

Yes you can.....although not sure why it would be necessary. The case offers ample screen protection.

I haven't used a screen protector in conjunction with my OtterBox Defender case, but I can tell you that you don't need it. The screen protector that comes with the Defender case is extremely durable and protects the phone perfectly.

answer 5
I had the same question as you before I purchased my Defender case for my Galaxy S4 so I called Otterbox and asked. The answer I received from the Customer Service Representative was that there is no need for an additional screen protector as the Defender comes with its own protective screen cover. She also added that adding an additional screen protector may cause the case to not properly fit and also may make the touch screen more difficult to operate. Of course, YMMV.

answer 6
It won't effect the operation, it does however look like you have a bubble between your case and phone. But given the option of not having a screen protector, I can get over it.

Probably not, it may stick together. You can always remove the built in screen protector on the defender if you really wanted to keep your film screen protector on.

I also have the removable/washable screen protector on my Galaxy S4 along with the Defender cover and it works just fine. Every once in a great while, I have to tap twice on something (just a tad harder) because you're going through 2 screen protectors.

answer 11
We do not recommend using an adhesive screen protector on the device while inside the Defender Series case, as the cases are designed for a snug fit for maximum protection. Some customers choose to use an adhesive screen protector on top of the Defender screen protector and find that it does not reduce the touchscreen sensitivity.
